VOPV-12 is designed for the capture of aerosols or iodine from the air. Large volumes of air are sifted through a filter that captures the monitored substance. The filter can be evaluated in the laboratory to determine the bulk activity of captured radionuclides.

Due to high performance, low maintenance and easy handling, it can be used in particular as:

  • suction unit in air sampling systems,
  • sampling unit for grab sampling of aerosols and iodine in the atmosphere,
  • sampling unit in environmental monitoring stations,
  • sampling unit for the measurement of aerosols and iodine activity in the ventilation stacks of nuclear facilities.
